Enabling this option allows group scheduling of real-time (RT) processes. In cgroup2 environments, this can lead to resource management problems, especially for services using the SCHED_RR scheduling policy. While moving all RT processes to the root cgroup is a possible workaround, it's often impractical in complex system configurations, when dealing with legacy applications, or with kernel threads. systemd's cgroup management can also conflict with manual relocation attempts.
