From: Peter Gonda <pgonda@google.com> mainline inclusion from mainline-v6.7-rc1 commit bc3d7c5570a03ab45bde4bae83697c80900fb714 category: bugfix bugzilla: https://gitee.com/src-openeuler/kernel/issues/IC9935 CVE: CVE-2025-37957 Reference: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?i... -------------------------------- Currently if an SEV-ES VM shuts down userspace sees KVM_RUN struct with only errno=EINVAL. This is a very limited amount of information to debug the situation. Instead return KVM_EXIT_SHUTDOWN to alert userspace the VM is shutting down and is not usable any further.
