【TC议题申请】关于openEuler LTS版本python3从3.7.4版本升级到3.8.3的提议

背景： 1、 openEuler 20.03 LTS版本的生命周期是从2020-03到2024-03，而该版本中Python3的版本为3.7.4，上游社区Python3.7的生命周期是从2018-06到2023-06，无法满足openEuler 20.03 LTS版本的整个生命周期 2、版本中的关键组件（如gcc、Python等）的生命周期以及升级计划等信息无法在openEuler页面中查询解决建议： 1、升级Python3.7.4版本到Python3.8.3，Python3.8的生命周期是从2019-10到2024-10，满足openEuler 20.03 LTS版本的整个生命周期 2、需要有一个地方来承载openEuler版本中的关键组件（如gcc、Python等）的生命周期以及升级计划等信息 python3.7与python3.8的差异分析见issue：https://gitee.com/src-openeuler/python3/issu…

1. 关于openEuler支持IMA摘要列表特性的提议 --- 张天行纪要： 1）同意在openEuler 20.09引入IMA摘要列表特性代码，但默认不开启该特性。LTS版本暂不考虑带上该特性。 2）维护好内核代码的质量，持续跟踪推送内核社区的进展。 3）对外围包改动比较多，评估好外围包修改无法合入社区带来的维护工作量。 4）后续要支持在多种构建系统下实现摘要列表的生成，提供完备的文档，实现环境配置可重复，保证能力可顺利转移到第三方厂商。 2. 【SIG申请】DDE申请建立SIG组 --叶青龙 https://gitee.com/openeuler/community/pulls/537 纪要： 1）下周在版本会议上讨论DDE继承到版本中的事情，尽量规划落入20.09版本 2）同意成立sig组，对应的PR按照修改意见修改后合入 3） DDE桌面应用商店需要跟openeuler规划应用商店统一规划 3．Add new SIG desktop-app to community – 吴旭 https://gitee.com/openeuler/community/pulls/566 纪要： 1) sig-desktop-app范围有些大，建议修改为sig-desktop-insteresting，缩小范围，和欣慰再对齐； 2) 打包软件列表计划和几个桌面sig对齐，避免重复打包； 4． new education sig -- 陈亚强 https://gitee.com/openeuler/community/pulls/558 纪要： 1) 建议education sig组名称保留给后续外部高校团队参与构建 2) 已准备提交的相关GUI 桌面环境下的工具软件，合并到“通用工具”sig组，sig组名称重新拟定； 5． openEuler 是否支持32位（i686）--陈亚强 https://gitee.com/openeuler/community/issues/I1L3TS?from=project-issue 纪要： 1) openEuler社区基于x86 32位架构已不在业界广泛使用，且已停止向前演进，所以openEuler社区暂不支持i686 32位架构； 2) 后续基于市场实际需求可小范围讨论支持策略； 3) RISC-V 32位支持情况，openEuler持续跟踪RISC-V架构体系演进状态； 6．Master分支下glibc 2.28升级到glibc 2 纪要 1) 社区主干升级glibc 2.31在sig-release-mangement集中讨论对外变更和差异； 2) 社区OBS新拉个人分支，执行glibc2.31编译，并验证对openEuler上层软件的影响； 3) 7月中完成上述操作后，在TC例会再决策是否升级glibc2.31 7.Computing sig拆分提议 – liqingqing 纪要： 1) 保持当前的Computing SIG组织，可以通过提名优秀的contributor为对应软件包的committer。 2) 一些强相关的软件包可以和其它SIG组owner沟通，添加到对应SIG组织中。 3) Computing sig中的device-manager部分需要重点看护，发觉更多优秀的贡献者，在后面合适的时机可单独新申请这个SIG。 8．networking sig 分拆建议 1) 同意下述软件包移至Basic-service sig，同时需要与相应maintainer交流好。 2) 同意将桌面相关基础软件包移至 Desktop sig，同时需要与相应maintainer交流好。 3) 同意将GNME相关基础软件包移至 GNOME sig，同时需要与相应maintainer交流好。 4) 同意新成立High performance network sig，聚焦XDP/RDMA/DPDK相关的网络加速技术，同时为openEuler应用提供高性能网络服务。 5) pcps（posix compatiblable protocol stack）、xdp-lvs（lvs base on xdp）在openeuler仓创建项目（两个项目名称待定） 6) DPDK 从DPDK sig移至 High performance network sig，同时需要与相应maintainer交流好。 7) 升级/安装类软件包需要从Networking sig移出，成立相关的sig需要再讨论下该sig命名、范围等，本次TC会议不作结论。 9．关于openEuler LTS 版本软件选型与运作的提议纪要： 1) TC委员会同意创新版本开源软件版本选型策略与选型周期 2) TC委员会同意开发版本与LTS 版本的SP 发布节奏以及开源软件版本选型策略与选型周期，周期见附件 3) 以上信息需要和参与openEuler 的OSV 厂商线下沟通并达成一致。责任人：TC 委员会 4) Kernel 升级策略目前未明确，对修改导致ABI变更问题还未达成一致，需要尽快明确。责任人：kernel SIG 10．创建sig-bootstrap -> 留到下次会议 From: Zhanghailiang [mailto:zhang.zhanghailiang@huawei.com] Sent: Tuesday, June 23, 2020 8:29 PM To: Huxinwei <huxinwei(a)huawei.com>;
