Hi all,

当前版本里的容器基础镜像（openEuler-docker.x86_64.tar.xz）规格较大，不便于分发，我们Cloud Native SIG决定对它进行裁剪。

裁剪之后的大小是209M（解压后），我们计划将它应用到本月的创新版本21.03。

The base image for container (openEuler-docker.x86_64.tar.xz) on our version is too big for delivery, so we Cloud Native SIG decided to tailor it.

After tailoring, the size of base image for container is 209M (uncompressed) and we’re planning to delivery it on the Innovation version of 21.03 this month.

相比较于20.03-SP1，本次裁剪了NetworkManager, net-tools, iproute, systemd等229个软件包

裁剪之后的容器基础镜像主要保留了 yum 和procps-ng/vim-minimal/tar 等最常用的129个软件包。

只要有yum，大家就可以基于它定制出符合您的场景的应用镜像。这也是主流OS厂商在容器基础镜像上的组建思路。

Compares to 20.03-SP1, 229 rpm packages were tailored including NetworkManager, net-tools, iproute, system, etc.

129 rpm packages including yum and the most popular packages of procps-ng/vim-minimal/tar are saved in the slim version.

We believed that, if there is yum and yum repo, you can DIY your own application images base on it. And this is also the main logic for OSVs on constructing there container base images.
