"Open Source Promotion Plan - Summer 2020"[1] is a summer coding program for university students jointly organized by CAS Software Institute and openEuler community. The project aims to encourage students to take participate in the development and maintenance of open source software and promote the flourishing development of outstanding open source software community in China.
The program provides "mini-projects" for the development and maintenance of open source project with the major open source communities to students of universities. Students will be able to apply for projects of their own choice. They will have an allowed to be personally mentored by a senior community maintainer(mentor) of the open source project after being selected. Depending on the difficulty and completion of the project, participants will also receive prizes and trophies for the "Open Source Promotion Plan - Summer 2020" activity.
The openEuler community as an organizer will provide mini-projects and mentor. I hope to have a chance to discuss with members of the technologic committee at the next meeting.
