[PATCH openEuler-1.0-LTS v2] usb: gadget: core: Check for unset descriptor
by Ye Bin 12 Sep '24

12 Sep '24
From: Chris Wulff <crwulff(a)gmail.com> stable inclusion from stable-v4.19.320 commit ba15815dd24cc5ec0d23e2170dc58c7db1e03b4a category: bugfix bugzilla: https://gitee.com/src-openeuler/kernel/issues/IAOXZ1 CVE: CVE-2024-44960 Reference: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/?id… -------------------------------- commit 973a57891608a98e894db2887f278777f564de18 upstream. Make sure the descriptor has been set before looking at maxpacket. This fixes a null pointer panic in this case. This may happen if the gadget doesn't properly set up the endpoint for the current speed, or the gadget descriptors are malformed and the descriptor for the speed/endpoint are not found. No current gadget driver is known to have this problem, but this may cause a hard-to-find bug during development of new gadgets. [PATCH openEuler-22.03-LTS-SP1] ipv6: prevent UAF in ip6_send_skb()
by Zhang Changzhong 12 Sep '24

From: Eric Dumazet <edumazet(a)google.com> stable inclusion from stable-v5.10.225 commit cb5880a0de12c7f618d2bdd84e2d985f1e06ed7e category: bugfix bugzilla: https://gitee.com/src-openeuler/kernel/issues/IAOXZH CVE: CVE-2024-44987 Reference: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/?id… --------------------------- [ Upstream commit faa389b2fbaaec7fd27a390b4896139f9da662e3 ] syzbot reported an UAF in ip6_send_skb() [1] After ip6_local_out() has returned, we no longer can safely dereference rt, unless we hold rcu_read_lock(). A similar issue has been fixed in commit a688caa34beb ("ipv6: take rcu lock in rawv6_send_hdrinc()") Another potential issue in ip6_finish_output2() is handled in a separate patch.
