[PATCH OLK-6.6] ipv6: Fix memleak of nhc_pcpu_rth_output in fib_check_nh_v6_gw().
by Zhang Changzhong 26 Sep '25

26 Sep '25
From: Kuniyuki Iwashima <kuniyu(a)amazon.com> stable inclusion from stable-v6.6.85 commit 119dcafe36795a15ae53351cbbd6177aaf94ffef category: bugfix bugzilla: https://gitee.com/src-openeuler/kernel/issues/IBYOFT CVE: CVE-2025-22005 Reference: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/?id… -------------------------------- [ Upstream commit 9740890ee20e01f99ff1dde84c63dcf089fabb98 ] fib_check_nh_v6_gw() expects that fib6_nh_init() cleans up everything when it fails. Commit 7dd73168e273 ("ipv6: Always allocate pcpu memory in a fib6_nh") moved fib_nh_common_init() before alloc_percpu_gfp() within fib6_nh_init() but forgot to add cleanup for fib6_nh->nh_common.nhc_pcpu_rth_output in case it fails to allocate fib6_nh->rt6i_pcpu, resulting in memleak. Let's call fib_nh_common_release() and clear nhc_pcpu_rth_output in the error path. Note that we can remove the fib6_nh_release() call in nh_create_ipv6() later in net-next.git. [PATCH OLK-6.6] net: ch9200: fix uninitialised access during mii_nway_restart
by Zhang Changzhong 26 Sep '25

26 Sep '25
From: qasdev <qasdev00(a)gmail.com> stable inclusion from stable-v6.6.95 commit 6bd2569d0b2f918e9581f744df0263caf73ee76c category: bugfix bugzilla: https://gitee.com/src-openeuler/kernel/issues/ICIQAB CVE: CVE-2025-38086 Reference: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/?id… -------------------------------- commit 9ad0452c0277b816a435433cca601304cfac7c21 upstream. In mii_nway_restart() the code attempts to call mii->mdio_read which is ch9200_mdio_read(). ch9200_mdio_read() utilises a local buffer called "buff", which is initialised with control_read(). However "buff" is conditionally initialised inside control_read(): if (err == size) { memcpy(data, buf, size); } If the condition of "err == size" is not met, then "buff" remains uninitialised. Once this happens the uninitialised "buff" is accessed and returned during ch9200_mdio_read(): return (buff[0] | buff[1] << 8); The problem stems from the fact that ch9200_mdio_read() ignores the return value of control_read(), leading to uinit-access of "buff". To fix this we should check the return value of control_read() and return early on error. After that the 'len' field of copied structure being compared with some constant value (64 or 8). However, if 'memcpy_from_msg' returns an error, we will compare some uninitialized memory. This triggers 'uninit-value' issue. This patch will add 'memcpy_from_msg' possible errors processing to avoid uninit-value issue. [PATCH OLK-6.6] Bluetooth: Fix use-after-free in l2cap_sock_cleanup_listen()

In the splat, a single thread calling bt_accept_dequeue() freed sk and touched it after that. The root cause would be the racy l2cap_sock_cleanup_listen() call added by the cited commit. bt_accept_dequeue() is called under lock_sock() except for l2cap_sock_release(). Two threads could see the same socket during the list iteration in bt_accept_dequeue(): CPU1 CPU2 (close()) ---- ---- sock_hold(sk) sock_hold(sk); lock_sock(sk) <-- block close() sock_put(sk) bt_accept_unlink(sk) sock_put(sk) <-- refcnt by bt_accept_enqueue() release_sock(sk) lock_sock(sk) sock_put(sk) bt_accept_unlink(sk) sock_put(sk) <-- last refcnt bt_accept_unlink(sk) <-- UAF Depending on the timing, the other thread could show up in the "Freed by task" part. [PATCH OLK-6.6] libceph: fix invalid accesses to ceph_connection_v1_info
by Zhang Changzhong 26 Sep '25

26 Sep '25
From: Ilya Dryomov <idryomov(a)gmail.com> stable inclusion from stable-v6.6.107 commit 23538cfbeed87159a5ac6c61e7a6de3d8d4486a8 category: bugfix bugzilla: https://gitee.com/openeuler/kernel/issues/ICZCI8 CVE: CVE-2025-39880 Reference: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/?id… -------------------------------- commit cdbc9836c7afadad68f374791738f118263c5371 upstream. There is a place where generic code in messenger.c is reading and another place where it is writing to con->v1 union member without checking that the union member is active (i.e. msgr1 is in use). On 64-bit systems, con->v1.auth_retry overlaps with con->v2.out_iter, so such a read is almost guaranteed to return a bogus value instead of 0 when msgr2 is in use. This ends up being fairly benign because the side effect is just the invalidation of the authorizer and successive fetching of new tickets. con->v1.connect_seq overlaps with con->v2.conn_bufs and the fact that it's being written to can cause more serious consequences, but luckily it's not something that happens often.
